Eli Degibri, a veteran Israeli-international jazz musician who is well known and appreciated in the local jazz scene and around the world. Acclaimed saxophonist, composer, and arranger he is referred to as one of the most prominent and influential jazz musicians today, a unique and original creative jazz artist featuring mesmerizing melodic compositions and a charismatic performance.
To this date he has composed and recorded 8 albums as a bandleader while contributing to many more and collaborating with a great many jazz artists including the legendary Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Al Foster, Brad Mehldau and more. Still he remains connected to his roots sharing his talents and collaborating with leading Israeli artists such as Yoni Rechter, Alon Oleartchik, Shalom Hanoch, Shlomi Shaban, Gidi Gov, Eran Tzur and many others.
Recipient of the Israeli Prime Minister award for Jazz Composition, Degibri was selected to represent Israel on the first International Jazz Day at the United Nations and was invited to the White House to perform for President Obama and First Lady Michelle.
This is his seventh year as the artistic director of the Red Sea Jazz Festival and Eli Degibri continues to bring us the best of jazz.
